JOB Creation Project : a reaction to the economic collapse of 2008–2009. As politicians argued about how jobs are created, and who creates jobs, I created buttons with the word JOB on them, and distributed them in the spring of 2010, in five locations, over two months. True: no one gained employment from this art action, but anyone who wanted a JOB (button) walked away with a JOB (button). The card the buttons were attached to outlined a 200-years' long debate among politicians, economists, and starists about the function of government and the creation of wealth. It also had a quote from the Book of Job: a reminder to be patient and to wait for chnge to come.
